Daiwa – Automated Multilingual European & Japanese Voice Monitoring

One of the largest Japanese financial groups, operating sales and trading services across a variety of financial products, automated their audio communication surveillance for a global team, including automatic primary language identification, for over 400 monitored individuals.

The team can confidently review audio communications in Japanese with only one native Japanese speaker on the team. They no longer need to worry about missing risky content because it is in Japanese.

Due to unsurmountable audio data volumes, the team had previously relied on manual sampling for audio calls, which can often leave teams with incomplete and inaccurate information about the level of risk.

The team worked with Daiwa to further improve the accuracy of the Japanese transcription, thus further reducing false positives for Japanese audio alerts.
